S³ has significant history and branding as both an aviation support and systems engineering company. Our programs that support aviation operations cross into many distinct market sectors but are at the same time often synergistic in delivering superior aviation service and product solutions to our customers. These programs include support to US and Partner Nation (PN) military/security organizations in the form of systems engineering and technical assistance, aviation training and operations, and aviation logistics. Additionally, we provide comparable commercial aviation support to the General Aviation community in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) rules and regulations. Aviation Operations is that one core capability that integrates many of the other standalone functional strengths of S3, including SETA support, aviation training and operations, and aviation logistics support.
S3’s SETA Services provide technical and programmatic support to the US Military Services and other select US Government agencies for aviation related systems and acquisition services. For example, S3 SETA services support the US Army’s Program Executive Office (PEO) for Aviation and the Army’s Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) with highly diversified products and services that include: life cycle management, systems engineering, acquisition support, modeling and simulation, experimentation, programmatic planning and execution, systems cyber protection, knowledge management, and logistics.
Subsidiary Kachemak Bay Flying Service (KBFS) is responsible for delivering nearly all of S³’s contractor-owned, contractor-operated government services and commercial air operations. Certified by the FAA for Part 133 (External Load), Part 135 (Chartered Transport), Part 137 (Agricultural Spray), Part 141 (Flight Training), and Part 145 (Aviation Installation and Repair) operations. KBFS maintains its own rotary and fixed wing aircraft in support of US and PN militaries and commercial customers. Support capabilities are listed below:
